Natyalaya-Kuchipudi school of dance was established by Jyothi Lakkaraju, a renowned artiste and instructor in the bay area. Initiated in the year 2000, the main aspiration of this foundation is to promote and proliferate Kuchipudi, a popular south Indian classical dance.

The school relentlessly strives to achieve its purpose by presenting live performances, and carefully planned lesson curricula. Even before the school came into light, the Natyalaya dance team has given innumerable number of performances in the bay area. Eight students have already given their Solo debut performances in the past years, and one is yet to ensue in August, 2008.
